OK, so I reviewed seasons 2 and 3 so I've decided to continue with my favorite 90's soap and go ahead with season 4.
Starting off (quite literally) with a bang, season 4 picks up immediately after season 3's nail biting cliff hanger.
But that's almost the most exciting thing of the season! It seems with the departure of executive producer/creator Darren Starr (yes Mr. 90210 and Sex and the City himself) the series lack any kind of spark. Although Sydney is once again back into her scheming manipulative ways, series psycho Kimberly calms down and becomes a psychiatrist! Amanda has a few skeletons come out of the closet. Michael continues to string Sydney along, while scheming his way to the top. Alison drinks again! But then gets back on the wagon, gets married and becomes a widow all in the space of a few episodes. Speaking of married, Billy and vile douche bag Brooke seem to be happily married, until she fakes a pregnancy and miscarriage, black mails Amanda and back-stabs Alison before finally getting what she deserves. Matt is annoying as usual. Seriously, there is no need for his character. Jane becomes a bitch before ending up in a wheelchair (thanks to Sydney). Jo has an affair with Jane's fiancee. Someone dies. Someone cheats. Someone gets punched. And finally someone who was supposed to be dead, isn't!
Once again a complete lack of interesting special features let's this box set down.
Final rating 5/10 Purely for the lack of Darren Starr's leadership.
